A group is a social unit that consists of two or more persons and has the following attributes: Membership (denotes if youre in the group of out of the group) Goals shared by members (a set of group goals. It has to be an overall group goal. ) Shared norms (shared values held by the members) Based on the previous definition, is this class a group? (this class is not a group, we do not have to interact, or share the same goals) What about mmorpg"s? (massive multiplayer online role-playing games) You do not have to play in a group, but there is an opportunity for it. Groups do not have to have physical interaction, it can be purely online. A classroom is less of a group than online role play.
