Death of a loved one, a break up) Chronic strains - negative things we experience on a day to day basis strains in our social roles that may cause mental health problems over time accumulates over time. Secondary stressors - stressful events that happen because a primary stressful event happened. Psychology principle side, own understanding of self like resilience, confidence that can help you deal with stressful situations in your life) Sense of mastery (high sense of mastery tend to feel better about life problems and feel more control) Positive self image (higher self esteem tend to be able to cope with stressful life events better)
