This shift depends on culture that the children find themselves in. Western society we are a gift giving culture. With girls we tend to cradle in our arms in close as if they are fragile. With boys you are more liberal, we bounce them on our lap. Girls are better. girls are trained early and being sensitive to the wishes of other thus they are able to accurately read the wishes of others who are more powerful. This may be why girls are people pleasers and they sometimes exhibit good girl syndrome. Girls begin early on to look for positive non-verbal cures of positive acceptance. Girls are groomed to look nice, more presentable to others. Research: girls recognize early that there is such a thing as male masculine power. Being the good girls and people pleases they are, they take it upon themselves to maintain group harmony and enhance positive feelings amongst group members.
