Adolescence ends when adolescence has a coping style. Society has to declare "suitability" from adolescence into young adulthood. Socially recognized event - rite of passage (graduation, voting, drinking) - entering into adulthood. Coping abilities/social recognition may not happen at the same time. Adolescence is a period of transition, differs in length for each individual. Given a learners permit, make mistakes and correct them. Drinking underage; bad decision, can recover from it. Adolescent protected from full burden of adolescent responsibilities. Discover/correct errors, build new responsibilities while understanding freedoms. Where ones freedoms and responsibilities are equivalent to adult. When economic responsibility (supporting themselves), work responsibility, moral. When economic responsibility (supporting themselves), work responsibility, moral responsibility. Mainstream society will unite and rally against them. Adolescence meeting in neutral environment, nothing to know about other person. Bilateral attitudes, some interaction, only marginal and informative. Share knowledge, feelings, invest more of ourselves, potential to develop. Reciprocal liking, committed to carrying this friendship into future.
