Specific performance- private- most often used to represent output relative to unit of product (efficiency, relationship to competitors, minimize negative performance) Public- represent impact per capita or per household (normalized relative to population size) Absolute performance- private- highlight overall positive performance (most impactful) Impact is rarely linear, individual air dispersion modelling capture impact of a single company. Cumulative impact- capture impact of may inputs into same system. We are measuring performance based indicators and impact based indicators. Impact- standards, regulations, goals, ambitions, risk analysis, precautionary principle. Private sustainability metrics- revenue, profit, r&d waste employees taxes. Life cycle assessment- process where me measure the impact of producing anything. Iso 14001- effective management tool- standardized approach, self- driven. Materiality review- takes input of stakeholders, identify most relevant issue.
