Gender, racial and sexual codes in various ways including: Transgressive language; including explicitly sexual scenes and violent images. Looking at how gender, race , sexuality constructed; how emerged from ideologies, how we come to think of those things as natural. Similar to mother courage; there is some alienation effect. Actor and character are juxtaposed, leading us to question our assumptions about sex and gender identify, and about race and ethnicity. ; different in play and actual theatre play. Colonialism: england want to create a mirror of itself. Colonialism impacting individuals and those individuals reflecting the values of england on other subjects. Gender is not the same as biological sex. Sexual preferences do not naturally derive from biological sex. Race is a colonial s ocial construct that proposes that people with certain phenotypes (physical characteristics) that may or may not share ethnic roots are inherently inferior. How you identify yourself as a person isn"t determined by your biological sex.
