Input and output: medications, udca (urodeoxylcholic acid) & cdca (chenodeoxycholic acid, used to dissolve small, radiolucent composed primarily of cholesterol, udca - has fewer side effects than cdca and can be administered in smaller doses. Acts by inhibiting synthesis and secretion of cholesterol, thereby reducing saturation of bile. Nursing diagnosis: deficient knowledge (pre/post operative, acute pain (pre/post operative, risk for imbalanced fluid volume: deficit, risk for injury. Acute and chronic cholecystitis: inflammation of the gallbladder wall, incidence is increasing and associated wit, being overweight, sedentary lifestyle.
