3 basic areas of sound o o o. In post, all of the sound that the sound mixer took great pains. Sound of props (even when real), not always realisic. A woman asleep in bed, inform audience that someone is in the house by hearing footsteps. Sound of an owl on a dark night. Knock of a door, hear a growl behind it. Focus the atenion of the viewer o o. In the real world we are bombarded by many sounds at once, distant voices, car horns. Put emphasis and draw the audience to noice it. Record them on locaion either sync or wild. Recorded in a foley studio o o o. Recreates sound efects on a stage while watching the acion on the screen.
