ANAT 315 Lecture Notes - Lecture 3: Suprascapular Artery, Medial Pectoral Nerve, Brachial Plexus
Document Summary
Four levers pectoral (shoulder) girdle clavicle and scapula arm forearm hand. Space between upper rib and humerus ; above the armpit. Blood vessels and nerves going to the upper limb pass through. Subclavian artery enters the apex and becomes the axillary artery. When it leaves the axilla, it becomes the brachial artery axillary artery suprascapular artery passage of the suprascapular nerve thyrocervical trunk thoracoacromial lateral thoracic brachial artery subscapular. Lateral thoracic = to the medial wall. Brachial artery -> when the axillary artery passes the inferior border of the teres major muscle. 2-3 veins which travel opposite to the axillary artery and empty into the subclavian vein ial the subclavian vein. Major part is in the axilla and part of the axillary sheath. C5-c8 and t1 radial, axillary, musculocutaneous, median, ulnar form 3 trunks, 6 divisions, 3 cords, and 5 nerve branches. All nerves with scapular in the name (suprascapular, dorsal scapular, lower and upper subscapular) + axillary nerve.
