After the competition for the bronze doors he walked away from sculpture all together, he moved onto architecture. He is the artist who is given credit for discovering linear perspective. This is not a hospital it is more of an orphanage for kids who cannot be taken care of. Since every child is precious (bc not many kids made it to adulthood), Florence built this place to take care of the kids. Loggia = covered walkway, brunelleschi thought about this mathematically and looked at ancient architecture to create his loggia.
