Consider the examples of sharks and salmon; use them for broader applications. ** section 42. 3 can be consumed for fun / further understanding not tested ** Understand the anatomy of the nephron and kidney: understand the sequential processes of glomerular filtration/reabsorption. Understand the main structural and functional features of the digestive tract: why animals have specialized compartments/how they are used sequentially. Understand generally what various enzymes use as substrates. Understand glucose dysfunctions which describe diseases that are important in society. Predict how the various compartments of the digestive tract may vary in animals with unusual diets. Ions and water are transported, via epithelial tissue, to ensure that internal fluids have the correct osmolarity and ion profile.
