Work their way up to northern italy (defeated 8 roman armies: plan was for spartacus to go north and crixus east but instead they travelled back down south to pillage again. Sertorius was killed by his second in command named perpenna who was later killed. Which is when pompey decided to take more peaceful paths. Licinius crassus made the serious effort of battling the gladiator army in the south of italy. Crassus and pompey absolutely crucified these gladiator armies.
