What does this show us about our modern culture: political correctness know not to be racist, sexist; same kind of discourse man"s struggle (2015, fact: 7 out of 8 oscar best picture nominees are about a white. Academy voting members are 93% white & 76% male: a film that has racial minorities isn"t deemed to not make money, however, just like the new star wars. Though, films do not want to have no deal with race, normally. The actor who played scar was a caucasian man, which was not uncommon for the time. Do you believe that hollywood & movie making has come a long way since in its portrayal of different ethnicities: going home star winnipeg ballet. Based on the story of the residential schools in canada, & all of the dancers were asian: we still have black-facing, have one ethnicity to play for the other. Some things are not as overt as the searchers.
