Read the memoir & decided he wanted to make a movie about it. Director of the ilm: jean marin. The commander of the french in the ilm. Had a hard ime acceping this job. He was on the let & against the very brutal control of algeria. To take the role of the colonel was a diicult task. Try to ind traces of that in his impressive character.
