Objective: to communicate some one or both of the following complex ideas in political economy to a lay audience. A fundamental contradiction within all capitalist systems that is manifested in an inherent tendency to crisis when rates of growth decline for an extended period and when firms experience decline. The need for capitalist to fix capital in the landscape factories, transport infrastructure, housing, office in order to generate surpluses/profits. The search during periods of crisis for new areas that can offer higher profits. A good infographic should explain the processes that lead to crises within capitalism and the spatial strategies that those who command capital often use to overcome such moments. At the scale of the global economy this is manifested in extended periods of low growth. At the scale of an individual firm this is manifested in falling rates in profits. Too much being produced relative to what can be sold profitably.
