Race: defines a large group of people who are similar in sociologies view. Racism: the belief in the inherent supreme race over other races. Racialization: the actual process where the concept of race assumes in society. The way we interpreted and ascribe meaning to races (settler) colonialism: the practise of domination that involves political and economic control over a territory. Like racism carried out at a systemic level and maintained institutionally. Maintained at a governmental and institutional elvel. More of an ongoing process not a set thing that happens. A nation establishing itself as its own government and having its own independence. Resistance: rejecting the values and way of life put on the colonized by the colonizer for decolonization. Our ideologies of the authentic which isn"t actually the authentic truth is now seen as what people believe to be real and the authentic. Representation: how the media represents people and specific groups of people.
