Analyzed as unique ideology: italy had first elements of totalitarianism: seeing it in places and emerging in other rise of soviet governments. Ideology: expresses itself as future of humanity, further this goal. Anti-rationalist, but roots where enlightenment gave society structure. Herder: cultural values, people, product of place, time, people independent society. Nietzsche: emotion and sentiment with value and history of your culture. Mill: importance of individual that drives history appreciate them: nietzsche and mill: cult of individual, bermensch. Italia 1859-1871: italian nationalist rise, nationalism through totalitarianism.
