If you fit into the traditional sexual community of being heterosexual you don"t have to think about your sexuality as being different, as a gay or lesbian does. Becomes one of the most influential voices and venues in this community. Sexology: kraft-ebing, ellis, freud 19th century: late 1800"s, pioneers of the study of human sexuality, kraft-ebing. Published one of the first texts of sexuality. Wrote book : studies in the psychology of sex: seven volumes long, one of the first to distinguish between homosexuality and transgender, successfully prosecuted and went out of print for awhile. Married to a lesbian, didn"t have sex until he was like 50. Wrote about things he hadn"t really experiences. Proposed urophelia being sexually attracted to someone peeing in front of you: freud. We are all born perverse, all able to derive sexual pleasure in different ways. Maybe youre into s&m, they want to understand why and figure out through tests and research.
