Mariachi music is the music of the culture of charros there is a particular way of playing/performing mariachi. Both mariachi and ranchera are apart of mexican identity. Preferred setting of playing the mariachi/ranchero is at the cantina (bar) or at the ranch. Normally played by one musician with his guitar and are songs about love or the land. Part of charro culture, like mariachi: mariachi is ensemble, ranchera is a song a lot of ranchera songs are patriotic and about mexico. Uses guitar and voice lyrics are an important element.
