A civil wrong between individuals for which the victim can get some legal remedy in the private law system. Ice, grape: people are hurt beyond their conduct and they are looking for remedy (compensation) Products liability: faulty product on the market, special guard/protective devices may be needed. People in the wrong place at the wrong time: who are hurt by actions of other individuals. Criminal law: commit crime, state prosecutes. Constitutional law: individual rights and freedoms and how it interacts with state. Administrative law: involves state"s actions against other individuals. I. e. boards, public authorities and special law around how they interact with citizens. Rights between (two) individuals: individual may be corporation, corporation can sue like another person, corporation may be subject t pay compensation. Tort law: rights between 2 individuals, wrongdoer (tortfeasor) vs victim. Proof: balance of probabilities or 51: to prove a tort against someone, you must prove that it is 51% probable that the person commit it.
