Document Summary

The presence and ow of energy makes things happen. Comes in many forms; mechanical, chemical, thermal, electromagnetic, electrical, nuclear. Constituent particles (atoms, molecules) are jiggling vigorously. Internal heat determines the kind of radiation that emits. Our body emits infrared radiation, sun emits visible light. Hot bodies can cool off; convection, conduction, radiation. Every object has an inside and outside, separated by a surface. Larger the volume and surface area, the harder it is to loose heat. Harder for the centre of object to cool off; harder for the heat to escape from the centre. The longer and thinner, the easier it is to loose weight. Because of gravity pulling the atoms to the centre. Energy is conserved; turns to other forms. Stars are born hot because of gravity and the conservation of energy. Collision of the atoms make it hot. Ordinary matter (meteors, cosmic rays, lunar rocks) Gravitational waves: shaking of all of space from collisions and disruptions in space.
