State has its own interests and imposes them on society. The chief interests of the state is to advance its own power and control over citizens. In the interests of freedom, we should limit the state to a minimal role. In a capitalist society the state will always favour the interests of capitalists good for the economy, good for the capitalist economy . What"s happening is not what should be happening !! State should be held back to its most limited functions. Normatively pluralists and elitists think that this is how things are naturally . Pluralists and elitist- this is how things naturally are (liberal and conservative) States should protect rights natural, legal, negative and positive liberal. State should be severely limited (night watchman) liberal and neo-liberal.
