Socrates: example of borrowing a weapon: refutes #1, you borrow a gun from a friend for hunting but when you return they forget they lent it too you and they are enraged. The most just way to deal with this to say that you forgot it at the cabin and you will bring it too them tomorrow. This allows them to cool down and stop any death from happening. Polemarchus: justice is giving a man his due: ppl are deserving of the sanctions they receive based on their actions, an eye for an eye, likewise people who do good things deserve recognition.
