Which prompted the emergence of the powers of today: america, france, britain, They formed the united nations, which others joins and it became what it is today. The soviet union worried about its capacity to stand up against the us and its allies, so it sought to gain its own allies- around itself and throughout the world. Soviet union had no problem crushing their allies- the hungarian revolution of 1956. Hungarians were amongst the allies of the nazis. The allies of the united states wre somewhat assured the united states would participate in the politica of europe thus protecting them. The purpose of nato was to keep the american in, the russians out, and the germans down.
