Male participants were told they were participating in an experiment on visual perception that req them to sit in completely dark room. In front of them, a light appeared for a few seconds, they had to indicate how far they thought the light moved. But the light dn move, saw an optical illusion called the autokinetic effect. a few days, participants returned but were joined by two other participants.
