How that person is most of the time. Summarises a lot of information about a person. Helps to predict how that person will behave across a wide range of different situations. State: a temporary physical or psychological engagement that influences behaviour. Personality traits- how to measure them: personality tests- although they measure personality, they do it in a variety of ways such as adjectives and rating scales, statements and agreement ratings, images. Others, such as ones in magazines/online, are not. Mmpi-2: has over 500 items that you answer yes or no to ( i like mechanics magazines, i have a good appetite, i wake up fresh and rested most mornings )
