Document Summary
Health psychology: health psychology or behavioural medicine is the study of how individual, biological, and environmental factors affect physical health. Many behaviours and metal processes result from evolution; that is, some actions, tendencies, and genes enhance survival and the continuation of a species. The genes associated with those actions are passed down to offspring, as are the actions and behaviours themselves that are associated with those genes. This phrase applies to the reactions we normally have perceived threats. Our reflexes provide instant survival reactions in some circumstances. When we hear a loud noise our bodies often jerk in response and our adrenaline begins to flow more quickly. Our body goes on alert and possible solutions that will promote survival-both psychical and social survival. Once the threat is removed our body goes back to a baseline state. Being under constant threat tat requires a prolonged flight-or-fight reaction, or experiencing frequent reactions, can trigger negative responses, both physically and psychologically.
