Dickson: they studied western scrub jays a species that in the wild regularly stores food in various locations and remembers these locations over long periods of time. In lab settings the jays will engage in storing behaviour in experimenter-created environments: clayton and dickson examined whether storing behaviour may involve episodic memory for jays.
