Sounds were visual images to him, he would create images to remember details. Had dif culty with faces because saw them as very changeable, because ge was paying close attention to details. Was always very intensely focussed on details so was poor at understanding stories or abstract ideas, and also struggled with generalizing. Focus was on details not the big picture. The case of clive wearing: was a musician and composer and then suffered an infection which damaged several parts of his brain (especially his hippocampus)
