From an indigenous worldview, our conventional everyday aspect of our lives is imbued with the sacred. What indigenous studies wants to do is call on the difference of that. If i see the world that has been given to me to be in charge of, very different from the worldview that i am given to the world. The other, looks at the world as an intrinsic value. It follows, we have a different way of understanding the world.
