During feudal period society was run by tradition. Tradition was set up by the christians, and the king owner was the supreme owner of the land. With the shift in knowledge is challenges religion as the (cid:498)only type(cid:499) of knowledge and frees society from the ideologies that everything should be based on religion: mastery. Scientific view lets us accurately predict the world. If we can master the scientific world we can master the social world: progress. If we understand the world better then we are progressing. Humanity can never actually attain absolute knowledge. The nature of knowledge is drastically different between the social sciences and the pure sciences. Smith propensity to truck, barter and exchange. If everyone who is good at something focus on their specialty then the world can work together. If each person perusing their individual interests they are working for the world. Pursuit of individual interest would meet interests of all.
