Men often kill spouse for infidelity, while women almost never kill for infidelity: data sources: Corners data and police reports: findings: 90% murder cases the killers were caught and solved, women were killed by intimate partner (spouse, ex-spouse, or boyfriend) 20-year period, wide scope of spousal violence (exes, dating and separated relationships) Women were 37 of age, 50% were employed and 80% had children. 1/3 of women in the sample have reported violence to the police before being murdered. 10% of the murders occurred when there was a restraining order. Women are killed more by intimate partners and men who kill come from a range of ethnic backgrounds.
