Document Summary

Some microbes consist of a single cell , some however can be multi-cellular. Can dna be present in other than the nucleus: yes it can be found in plasmids which are dna molecules in bacteria and. Contradictions to the definition of microbe: supersized microbial cells. There are some microbes that are larger than a fruit fly"s eye and can be seen with an unaided eye: microbial communities. This is a contradiction because microbes in communities form complex multicellular assemblages so since they are not single-celled and still considered microbes it"s a contradiction: viruses. They"re small enough that they need a microscope to be seen however they are not considered living because they require a host cell and are not cells themselves. It does not fit the definition that microbes are living, but a virus is still a microbe. Genome: is the total information contained in an organism"s chromosol dna.
