Business ethics is about what you should and should not do in the process of conducing business. Values: beliefs that incline us to act or to choose in one way rather than another. (ideals that we believe are good and that should guide behaviour) Principles: standards that we believe it right to sick to. Principle of autonomy (respect right to choose for ourselves) Values and principles both have a role to play in guiding behaviour and in ethical reasoning. Ethical failures present, at the least, a risk to the company"s reputaion.
