For example; at the beginning of grade 1 children are expected to read simple sentences. At the end of grade 1 children are expected to read short chapter books. This is an educational goal that covers the whole year. Incremental performance steps = describes the result of instruction. Objectives are the incremental steps to ensure that goals get achieved. Objectives describe what the kid is supposed to be learning from the beginning of the year till the end of the year. This can be a shorter time frame too. A = audience (who are we talking about, generally talking about a specific student so you want to use the student"s name) B = behaviour (is what we are expecting the learned to produce)
