Cld 241 children with disabilities: a disorder of movement caused by improper brain function, non-progressive disorder of movement and abnormalities in muscle tone and coordination. A person with cp: may be able to go to typical schools and be economically independent, children who have cerebral palsy may have cognitive delays or may learn at typical rates of development. A person with cp: can form meaningful intimate relationships with a partner, socially, individuals with cp can form relationships with friends and intimate partners. Postural reactions do not replace primitive reflexes to keep the individual upright and protected in case of a fall: protective extension (parachute) Physical impairments: muscle tone, poor balance, speech, vision, hearing. Abnormality of the spinal cord caused by malformation and failure of the vertebrae to close in the embryo at the end of the first trimester of pregnancy.
