Some of the phrases obama used in his speech involved pronouns including we fight against them in extremism and we are reminding in this tragedy that the values that french people care about are also values that americans share . A noticeable technique used by obama in his speech was coercion. Coercion involves the practice of persuading one to do something by using force of threats.
