CMN 279 Lecture Notes - Lecture 3: Toastmasters International, Ryerson University
Document Summary
Last year i presented as a guest speaker at ryerson university in support of raising awareness of diversity on campus. In this effort of elevating diversity the university has hosted many clubs, events, and fund raisers to stop racism and adversity. Everyone s ongoing support at ryerson has helped make a difference in the lives of students, providing a safer, people friendly ryerson and downtown community. My presentation will provide a general overview of diversity. I will first speak about the significance of diversity, why diversity makes our communities strive, and then i will explain the cause and affects of diversity. I will conduct a class simulation and bring various brochures reflecting on what we discussed and more. This presentation is of genuine interest to your group because it tackles racism, stereotypes, and perceptual biases, and explains how diversity is making our communities stronger.
