Principles: territory (the reality), values: map (how you see things) Character: composite of habits, habits: intersection of knowledge, skill, Maturity continuum runs from dependence to independence to. North american values independence especially but interdependence. Can achieve more when you trust others. Habits 1-3: dependence to independence: private, character growth.
