Public order crimes: also called victimless crimes, these acts interfere with public order. Recall mala prohibitum: crimes that are crimes because they violate prevailing moral rules. English brewery companies used prostitutes to attract customers (19th century). Many jurisdictions not enforcing, or enforcing differentially. Brothels: a house of prostitution typically run by either a madam or a pimp who sets services and handles business operations. Massage parlours: seemingly a legitimate business; sell sexual services under the guys of legal massage parlours. Private residences: sell sexual services in a private residence. Streetwalkers: sex workers who work on the street. Call girls: sex workers who make dates with their clients in advance either by telephone or internet. Madams (or pimps): managerial role over sexual services; organizing clientele, security and make a profit from it.
