Begin w/disguising participants in all transcripts, audio files, field notes, other docs. Transcribing interviews fill in unclear passages insert explanations/clarifications interviewer self-transcribing has several advantages. Obtain timely feedback on one"s interviewing technique first stage of coding jotting down more notes, worth re-examining in future. External transcriber may miss info, misinterpret info, include info that should be redacted. Miss the nuance of interview (irritation, fear, happiness)
