Everyone grieves uniquely, individualized experience of the child. Our work is to help the young person to redefine the relationship. What gets in the way sometimes is not wanting to say the wrong thing, a fear of making things worse, our own history of loss, the discomfort with displays of intense feelings/behaviors, personal judgements, feeling helpless. Grief: normal natural process, holistic (psychological, emotional, physical and spiritual) Bereavement: the state of having experienced loss. Mourning: the outward expression of a perso(cid:374)"s thoughts, (cid:271)eha(cid:448)iors a(cid:374)d e(cid:373)otio(cid:374)s. Anticipatory grief: process stimulated by awareness of impending loss or death.
