Poeic language is much more related (rhymes as an example) Figuraive language- any expression that uses words to mean something other than their literal meaning. Examples of igures - metaphor, simile, personiicaion, e. t. c. Literal language- words mean exactly what they say-ex. It"s raining very hard vs. its raining cats and dogs . The poem is a capsule where we wrap up our punishable secrets - william carlos. A poem is a well-wrought urn - cleanth brooks. A poem is a meteor - wallace stevens. P. i. e: paraphrase or translate poem into regular language, idenify textual details and paterns, explain the efect of those details/paterns on the whole. Describes kids puing on their backpacks and moms giving them apples to give to their teachers. Something sinister in this though- indicaions from language that is used to hint that something is wrong. Looks like the teachers are these beings that need to be tended to- god like.
