Another famous theme is the helen and paris theme, including that when paris dies, she marries paris"s brother, deiphobus. The trojan war becomes an archetype for wwi. Wordsworth and blake begin to retell myth from the characters" perspectives. Retell another version of the story as set in their particular period. Keats, shelley, and tennyson focus on the loss of the greek ideal. Myth for them is an escape as well as a point of comparison for the present reality. Begin to see a lament for the lost world. These 20 th century writers show a hopelessness through myth, having faced the world wars.
