Many fairy tales are translated from different languages. The language used is the print version of an older, oral story: shown in the language and grammar. Since stories belonged to the people, the ending may have changed based on who was being told the tale: the rich may prefer the hero/ine to profit from his/her struggle. Fairy tales represent the ideology of the culture in which they were produced. The (cid:858)(cid:271)zou(cid:859) tricks red into eating the flesh of her grandmother and drinking her blood.
