Document Summary

The creature that frankenstein created was able to speak language fluently and articulately, and was able to tell right from wrong (he had morals) Frankenstein acted in the opposite way as prometheus; he is a coward, and abandoned his creation. Frankenstein begins with robert walden, who meets frankenstein and he listens to his story and writes it down. It starts with walden (rather than starting right into the story) because it allows the reader to draw some distance from the story. Walden is a modern scientist as compared to frankenstein. Frankenstein and walden are alike: they feel very important, they don"t really care about how their goals affect those around them. Frankenstein"s interests in the sciences: he is like any other gothic hero, where he starts off as a young innocent man who beloved, but he undergoes many tragedies that lead him to his tragic fate. His mother gets scarlet fever and dies.
