Reduce the contaminant load from that of the sanitary sewage to a given effluent quality. Except where a lb receives effluent from a level ii, iii, or iv tu (as described in 8. 6. 2. 2) 10,000l where the tu is a level ii, level iii, or level iv tu. 5000l with septic tank: where level ii,iii, or iv tu used in conjunction with a filter bed, the effective area shall be such that the loading on the surface of the filter medium d/n exceed 100 l/m2/day. Shallow buried trench effluent quality must not exceed max concentrations set by level iv tu: type a dispersal bed, the combined thickness of a sand layer & stone layer of a type a db shall not. Tu + lb constructed as type a db effluent < concentration (level iv tu) Type a db must be backfilled w/ lb (to allow settling of lb) to prevent depression formation.
