Document Summary

Throughout our interviews with the michael-angelo"s family and staff, one thing that stood out to us was the level of family commitment in the firm. It was clear to us that the second generation; michael, sandra and roseann, exhibited affective commitment as they willingly followed their father"s footsteps out of respect and admiration for the late angelo. Affective commitment can be defined as the emotional attachment a member of the firm displays. The attachment can stem from the members" personal goals and ambitions, or the source of motivation can be from a third party. When roseann was asked if longevity is the main goal for the firm, she firmly answered yes, and pass it on. It"s all a sense of pride, my dad being an immigrant and not have schooling. Their positive attachment to the firm has led to them being stewards of the firm.
