Idea of looking back and resisting: disability arts is the idea that it is refusing to accept how people are portrayed through. What are some disability tropes: martyr: person with disability is a hero, rather than flawed, their disability helps them, overcoming. 6 questions, answer 5 of them, worth 4 marks. Adorno thought we were wiring our time away watching tv while we should be learning: no value in popular culture. Walter benjamin thought there was hope the benefit is that we are all consumers: artists would use their art to push back on politics. Dissent: an action that seeks to have a positive impact on an injustice, to provoke discussion and/or change, an uprising from the powerless.
