Digital label printing - what is already out there. A recent study conducted by label industry market research firm lpc, inc. , determined that new digital press installations in north america are growing at. Taking into account these forecasted rates, lpc believes that in the year 2020, one in four new label presses sold in the us and canada will be conventional, and three out of four will be digital. Approximately 1. 8 in/sec [ips] (4. 6 cm/sec) when printing a 2. 2 in (5. 6 cm) wide image in normal mode. Duo ink technology (dye & pigment inks) Approximately 5. 2 in/sec (13. 2cm/sec) printing a 2. 2 in (56mm) wide image in plain paper normal mode. Dye-based, 250 ml, cmyk cartridges (1. 25 l total) - water/uv resistant formula. 1600 x 1600 dpi - 1600 x 800 dpi. 6 inches (152 mm) per second - 12 inches (305 mm) per second. Can integrate with an existing flexo press to provide hybrid capability.
